Brian Spitz – President
The entrepreneurial spirit is in Brian Spitz’ blood. The Spitz family has been a Houston mainstay in business excellence for four generations. In watching his grandfather Bill Spitz operate his Houston based company Big State Pest Control, Brian was instilled with the work ethic and integrity it takes to run a successful business. And when he was a young college student still deciding what path to take, his father gave him a CD course detailing how to buy and sell homes. It was then that he knew what he wanted to do.
Brian started small, with an investment in a single home he found by driving around Westbury, but through patience and ingenuity Brian built the innovative and profitable Big State Home Buyers. Since its founding eight years ago, Big State has assisted more than a thousand homeowners seeking real estate solutions with their “problem properties”, and has seen a tremendous cycle of growth.
Brian founded Big State with a simple goal: to personally help struggling homeowners resolve their individual home-selling complications. Big State is no charity – no business is – but Brian has found a way to truly help people for whom traditional real estate avenues just won’t work. By streamlining the home selling process and rooting out inefficiencies, Brian has created a system that brings a profit to all parties involved. A reputation takes a lifetime to build and a day to destroy, so Brian ensures that every one of Big State’s customers leaves his office feeling fairly treated.
Brian’s ambition is rivaled only by his integrity. Big State’s future is very bright, but no matter how much it grows, Brian will make sure that it maintains the core values upon which it was founded.
Corey Aiken – Sales Manager
Corey joined Big State Home Buyers towards the end of 2013. He specializes in acquiring discounted residential real estate and his background in sales has made him an essential part of the Big State team.
Corey understands that a successful sales team begins with understanding the customer’s needs and he is dedicated to further developing solutions that produce long-term and rewarding results for all of our clients.
Corey has a passion for helping others and is committed to assisting the sales team in achieving their fullest potential. With an unwavering sense of business ethics, you can be assured that Corey will lead with the upmost professional manner.
Richard Lowrance – Sales Associate
Richard is one of Big State’s newest sales agents. He joined the Big State team in July 2014. His responsibility is to acquire inventory for the company by working with sellers in efforts to contract and sell their property.
Richard has attended the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston.. He possesses a strong sales background with a proven track record and looks to excel even further at our company.
Richards’ future goals include assisting Big State Home Buyers in growing into a nation-wide company and participate with the collaborative efforts to further strengthen the company.

Joel Medrano – Sales Associate
Joel joined the Big State team recently in 2014 as well. His responsibilities include acquiring inventory for Big State by working with sellers in efforts to contract and sell their property.
Joel graduated from the University of Houston in 2009 with a Bachelor’s in Finance and a minor in Economics.
Experience has taught Joel to treat his clients with respect, understand their needs, and work with them to achieve their goals. He has carried this philosophy over to his career in real estate.

Kamrin Lindberg – Sales Associate
Kamrin started with Big State in 2015. He knew he wanted to work for Brian and Big State when he saw how much they cared for their clients, and went above and beyond to ensure they had satisfied the client.
Kamrin enjoys ensuring that his clients are well taken care of and makes sure to stay with them every step of the way. In the face of challenges, he strives to push the boundaries of what is possible and prides himself on being effective and making every deal a great experience for everyone involved.
Kamrin’s future goals are to learn and adapt every day to make sure he can give the best possible service to his clients. Kamrin also wants to assist Big State in becoming nationally known as a company that excels in customer service and integrity.

Ross Schneider – Sales Associate
Ross joined Big State in June of 2016 after successfully running his own company. With 3+ years in the real estate industry, he specializes in the acquisition of distressed property and meeting sellers’ needs.
Ross graduated from Loyola University New Orleans, majoring in International Business and minoring in Chinese Studies.
Ross’s goals included helping Big State expand into the Dallas Fort Worth marketplace and grow to be one of the largest real estate investment firms in the country.

Brian Freeman – Sales Associate
With 4+ years experience in real estate acquisitions, experience running his own company and roughly 200 real estate transactions under his belt, Brian is a major asset to the team at Big State. Brian has the magic touch to make a deal happen, we hope you get to experience this in person.
Brian is a graduate of Texas A&M with a major in International Commerce.
Brian plans to help lead Big State to integrate into the DFW marketplace and become the first and best option for home sellers in the metroplex.

Brooks Winfield – Sales Associate
Brooks joins the Big State team with a passion for success. He is well versed in sales, and is the walking definition of southern hospitality. When the job needs getting done, he’s your man.

Maemar K. Correa – Sales Associate
Maemar, though not new to the industry, became a Big State team member in the spring of 2016! She brings over 10 years of diverse experience in sales and service. Maemar is fully bilingual having studied and lived abroad in several countries, and is a first generation Venezuelan-American. She is the face to our client and business relationships and is always eager to meet new people.
Maemar has a passion for serving our clients and community and is currently streamlining Big State’s community service outreach to make a difference for Houston and beyond.

Sonya Seymour – File Processor and Closing Coordinator
Sonya is our newest administration member, joining our company in 2014. She is the primary point of contact for all of our title companies and she works to expedite the process of resolving all title issues. Sonya works directly with both buyers and sellers to facilitate a smooth closing transaction.Sonya studied Merchandising at Newbury Jr. College in Boston, Massachusetts. Sonya has over 17 years experience within the title industry and her experience has added great value to our team. Sonya’s goal is to continue to learn all aspects of the real estate industry and to make every day count!
Jessica Rodriguez – File Processor and Closing Coordinator
Jessica joined the Big State team in 2013. Her role is a multi-faceted one and covers a multitude of responsibilities, including but not limited to coordinating closings, assisting in resolving title matters, taking leads and performing administrative duties. Jessica graduated from high school in 2008 and is currently working on obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice at Houston Community College. Her previous work experience has allowed her to adapt very quickly and excel in multi-tasking.
Jessica’s long-term goals include continuing to learn, taking on additional responsibilities and further contributing to the Company’s success.
Jeffrey Ackler – Marketing Director
Ackler is working directly with Big State Home Buyers president, Brian Spitz. Their goal is to streamline the marketing efforts of the Big State Home Buyers team as they continue to strive to provide their customers with the best possible home selling experience. As the business expands throughout the state of Texas, the company continues to connect with its customers to bring them satisfaction throughout the entire process of selling their homes.
